Halloween

Let's just say that this Halloween was much better than last Halloween!! Thank goodness!! 

The day started out at the elementary school. I was helping with Bryn's class party. First up was the Halloween parade. I love the elementary school Halloween parade so much!! It is crazy to now only having one child in it though!! It was fun to watch her go by looking so cute!! Also, a lot of the primary kids from our ward go to Bryn's school so it was fun to wave at all of them. :)

Bryn wanted to be a Pink Lady from Grease like Ailey was last year! Done.

It was fun being in Bryn's class and helping out. She still loves having me come into her class and I will go as long as she wants me to!! My friend Keri was a party mom too so it was extra fun! We have been volunteering together for many years!! :)

Bryn and her bestie Audrey. This year they were the only ones from their group of friends to be in this class and boy are they glad to have each other!! They are having a lot of fun together and are both runners. They are always trying to sprint past each other at the school races and yet are super supportive of each other. It is so sweet!!

This Bo and he REALLY wanted to be in this picture with Bryn!! His mom and grandma were telling me how *fond* he is of her!! They have been in the same class since Kindergarten and Bo is a real fan of Brynnie!! Ha ha!

It was a great day at the elementary school and it felt like we had just barely gotten home and then it was time to get ready again! We decided to forgo Trunk-or-Treat this year. That was a mistake because I have way too much candy left over!!

Ailey was the first to head out the door. She went trick-or-treating with a big group of friends and then they all went to a Halloween Party after that. She decided to be a cute BYU football player! We didn't have to buy one single Halloween costume this year! Yay!!

Kameron had to work from 5 until 7:30 pm that night and then he headed out to a party with his friends. He was too cool to wear a costume. :(

Reilly and Hunter wanted to take Bryn trick-or-treating and Reilly had planned out a whole big route and knew just where to go for all the full-sized candy bars!! Bryn was super excited to go with them!!

So Halloween night it was just me and this guy:

We had a great time! We had an awesome Halloween playlist going, we ate pizza, and watched A Discovery of Witches in between handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. It was fabulous!! We had a pretty good turn out of kids...and one creepy adult. WTH???

This gorilla mask was hidden and stashed every where the week leading up to Halloween. Every time I turned around that thing was there!! Tyler and Kameron enjoyed scaring the heck of me and the girls all.week.long!!

Later that night Reilly, Hunter, and Bryn all came home and we hung out eating pizza and chatting. They got to witness the creepy man who came to our door trick-or-treating. Bryn really wanted to answer the door and hand out candy so once she got home we let her. The first trick-or-treater she got was a creepy 30+ year old man in a wig and carrying gardening tools asking for candy. She was done after that! (We were all right there when she opened the door and I think we are all scarred for life!) Shortly after that Tyler left to pick up Ailey from her party and while we were sitting at the kitchen table he banged on window and scared the heck out of us...including Hunter...who was supposed to be protecting us in case our freaky trick-or-treater returned!! We didn't see Kam until after 11pm. He had a fun night out with his friends and you'll just have to take my word for it as no photographic evidence exists!! 17 is precious.

Bryn had a great haul of candy this year!! She was ready to quit way before Reilly and Hunter were. She is a candy light weight!! She is always the first to be done with trick-or-treating every year and was sad that there weren't any healthy snacks in her trick-or-treat bag! Where did this kid come from??!!
