This year we spent 10 days at the lake with my family for our family reunion. We were joined by my mom, Stacey and John and their kids, Kelley (her boyfriend Chris came for a few days) and Elle, Kirk and Meki with Kaiya, Kirin, and Jeff (Meki's dad) who came up from SLC, and Jordin and Ramon with their kids who came from Kansas City. The only people that we were missing this year were Kaiden and Reilly. We missed them a lot!! Kaiden wasn't able to come up this year and Reilly hadn't earned enough PTO at her job be able to come up in July. Boo. But she is coming up in a few weeks so I am super excited for that!!
We packed a lot into 10 days. We had pretty good weather for most of the time. It was a little windy the first part of the week and then we had one day of rain but all in all it was pretty glorious. Prepare for 50 million pictures.
The first night!
I love it when my little sister comes to town. I wish that Kansas City wasn't so far away!!
It's always fun to be reunited with cousins: River, Ailey, Elle, and Jaylah
Bryn and Kaiya
Traditional jumping off the dock pictures!! Love those crazy leaps!!
These two buddies were back together. RJ was Kameron's little shadow the entire time. So cute! It was fun for Kameron to have a little brother for awhile. They were pretty cute together.
How cute is RJ?! He is one cute little crazy wild man. By the end of 10 days Kameron was exhausted!! Ha ha!!
Bryn was pretty darn happy to be reunited with this little guy. She stuck to Kirin like glue. She loved getting to be a "big sister" for 10 days.
Kirin is such a cutie!!
The kids played a lot of games. It was so fun to see them all playing together. They get along great. There were very few arguments or leaving people out. They are all pretty sweet to one another.
We went on some morning walks to work off all the amazing food that we were eating.
Not a bad view!!
There was a lot of fishing going on:
Dane
RJ and Jeff
One day they caught a duck that went after a worm on Dane's hook. Luckily the duck was unharmed and after some love from this bunch he was released.
RJ found a pet too!! He made a little habitat for him in a bowl and kept him around the entire week.
Kirin didn't lack for babysitters this trip. Everyone was fighting over him!!
We ran...literally...to the ice cream shop quite a few times!!
This day we were too late...they were already closed!! Bummer!!
Other days we were successful. Like this day...
and this day...
and this day!!
RJ and Jaylah eating the two family favorites...bubblegum and maui wowie.
We played dress-up:
Kirin wasn't thrilled to be wearing the Aunt Ladye wig!!
As did he!!
Wearing my grandma's coat and hat. Ha!
There was a lot of playing in the play house:
We picked a lot of raspberries!! It was a super short raspberry season. :(
We ate a lot of great food!! Every family had a night that they were in charge of dinner. It was wonderful eating someone else's cooking. We have some great cooks in our family.
Meki and her dad fried a TON of noodles to make a delicious chow mein and made a huge pan of fried rice.
Jordi made cute pinterest-y rice krispie treats for her dessert. Ramon grilled up tons of brats, pork chops, steak, and chicken. Stacey and her family made Hawaiian Haystacks. Kelley made spaghetti. Our night was taco salad and rootbeer floats. My mom did two nights...she made a ham and funeral potatoes one night and then two kinds of pasta another night. One night was a big birthday party and the rest of the time we had bonfires and roasted hot dogs and ate leftovers.

We washed A LOT of dishes!!
We did a lot of tubing and wake boarding. This year Ailey learned to wake board and did a fantastic job!! Bryn is the only Johnson who can't wake board yet. Next year!! Jaylah and Kaiya were also wake boarding this year. Exciting!!
Uncle Ramon and Aunt Jordin were awesome getting everyone up on the wake board!!
Ailey's first time up on the wake board:
RJ thought that he was old enough to give it a try!! Ha ha!

Kaiya and Elle
We did a lot of hanging out and relaxing on the dock:
We played in and on the water like crazy:
I adored my early morning paddle boarding. I went all over the lake and through the channel and paddled around the upper lake too. It was awesome!! I didn't fall in once. :)
Setting out on a morning paddle with my mom and Jordin in the kayaks.
We played a bunch of cornhole:
We took naps:
Bryn asked to take a nap every day around 3pm and I was more than happy to oblige and join her. We would read our books and nap for about 2 hours every day. I loved this!! First, snuggle time with my kids is rapidly vanishing as they get older. Second, I had two good books that I couldn't put down.
I loved rocking this cute boy during his naptime. Again, my kids are big now and there is something so magical about rocking a baby to sleep. (Not wearing make up or doing my hair for 10 days was also magical. ;)
We had a bunch of bonfires. Every night the adults stayed out until late or should I say early. This year I wasn't out late every night...again... I had some GOOD BOOKS that I was reading. ;)
We enjoyed a beautiful cozy rainy day:
There is nothing like a rainy day at the lake. I especially love it when it rains at night!
We celebrated 4 birthdays:
The first up was Kirin. We had an early 1st birthday party for him:
These kids were the cake decorators!!
Voila! The masterpiece!!
RJ thought that Kirin wasn't using his smash cake to it's fullest potential and thought that he would demonstrate the appropriate way to utilize a smash cake. Ha ha.
After a quick bath for the two little boys, we celebrated the rest of the upcoming birthdays:
Kirk, Kirin, Jordin, and RJ all have birthdays the same week. Kirk and Kirin's birthdays are on the same day. They all requested dirt and worms...a family fave...as their birthday cake this year. :) I think that Kirk has requested it nearly every single year!!
We took about a million cousin pictures:
Kameron, Kaiya, Ailey, Dane, River, Jaylah, Elle, Bryn, RJ, and Kirin. (Missing Reilly and Kaiden)
Jordin put her nursing skills to use on many of us:
Tyler got a new continuous blood sugar monitor right before our reunion, so Jordin had to check it out and put on a new sensor for him.
The kids put on dance shows:
This one was in honor of Kirin's first birthday!
We freaked each other out with this creepy doll:
No one wanted to sleep with that doll looking at them...except for my mom who didn't find that doll creepy at all. #bullcrap. She was relocated to the kitchen and was still too creepy there.
We reveled in the beauty that was around us:
We laughed, we cried, we shared old memories, we talked about those we love and miss especially those who are no longer with us, we made new memories, we went night swimming, we saw the muskrat, we made wishes on shooting stars, we heard our echos, we drank green punch, we made a thousand snap chat bee videos, we scared each other, we played together, and loved one another. Another family reunion in the books.
Until next year....
