#One Day HH: 2025

Every year one of my favorite author/blogger/influencers, Laura Tremaine, challenges her followers to participate in a one-day hour-by-hour challenge. You document what you are doing every hour on a particular day... from when you wake up to when you go to bed. This year the date was November 12th. Hold on for some thrilling content. LOL. I think this is a fun yearly exercise.

November 12, 2025 (Wednesday):

I woke up initially at 6:45 am. Bryn left for seminary. I made sure that Tyler took his first dose of meds (He is recovering from hand surgery) and then I fell back asleep.

7:45am:

I woke and got up.

8:45 am:

Tyler and I were chatting in the living room. Since he is recovering from hand surgery; he is home from work for a few weeks.

9:45 am:

I was decorating the house for Christmas. I like to have it done before Thanksgiving.

10:45 am:

Heading into my dental appointment. I got my teeth cleaned and had no cavities. Yay.

11:45 am:

All done with the dentist and going in to Goodwill to do a little thrifting for Sisters Creed.

12:45 pm:

I was in the backyard doing some winterizing. Our back door is so dirty! Gross.

1:45 pm:

Going into my PT appointment.

2:45 pm:

I didn't have time to eat lunch so eating a few Cheetos as a snack.

3:45 pm:

I took a very quick power nap.

4:45 pm:

It's already dark outside. We started putting up the big Christmas tree in the living room.

5:45 pm:

Vacuuming up all of the flock that came off the tree.

6:45 pm:

Getting ready to go to Mutual. It's a combined activity with the young men.

7:45 pm:

I'm at mutual. The youth rotated through multiple stations at this activity. At this particular station they were learning a dance from KPOP Demon Hunters.

8:45 pm:

In our neighborhood walking Beverly with Tyler.

9:45 pm:

Helping Tyler dress his surgical wound.

10:45 pm:

In bed for the night.

That's all folks! A day in the life in November.

#One Day HH: 2024

Every year one of my favorite author/blogger/influencers, Laura Tremaine, challenges her followers to participate in a one-day hour-by-hour challenge. You document what you are doing every hour on a particular day from when you wake up to when you go to bed. The date chosen this year was Friday, November 15th. As I say every year...Prepare to be riveted. LOL.

November 15, 2024 (Friday)

My day started early at 5:49 am. Bryn had early morning seminary. Tyler takes her on his way to work and then I pick her up and drive her to school. We will ALL be so glad when she can drive next year!

Shortly after I woke up my phone started alarming with notifications that Ailey's blood sugar was low. I get notifications sent to my phone when either Tyler or Ailey have low blood sugar. Technology is amazing. I think about how far we have come. I don't know how Tyler's parents sent him on a mission and let him go off to college never knowing what his blood sugar was (or Tyler either for that matter.) Terrifying. Ailey eventually got herself some juice or something because my notifications stopped. Sometimes she doesn't wake up or want to get up and I have to call her and harass her until she does. Usually Tyler is doing the same thing. Kameron was getting her alarms sent to his phone too when he lived in Rexburg. It is a bit worrisome not having Kameron in town to go check on her if she doesn't respond to our calls and texts. Thankfully she always has! Can we just cure diabetes please????

6:50 am:

After all the hubub with Ailey this morning. I hit snooze and went back to bed.

7:50 am:

I picked up Bryn and her friend Leah and drove them to school. It was foggy this morning.

8:50 am:

This is the time that I plan out my day, journal, and read my scriptures.

9:50 am:

Today I was working on the guest room aka Bryn's old room. It got a fresh coat of paint and I also repainted all of the bedroom furniture. (Bryn got new bedroom furniture for her new smaller room.)

10:50 am:

While the paint was drying in the guest room I continued to work on decorating for Christmas. I love these little Gurley Holiday Candles...snowmen, angels, trees, deer etc. I collect them. They are in several different locations in our house in little vignettes. Some of these are mine and some were my Grandma's. She had a collection for every holiday. I do too!

11:50 am:

I'm back in the guest room applying another coat of paint. I said this would be a riveting day...as riveting as watching paint dry...LITERALLY.

12:50 pm:

Outside with Beverly. I am LOVING that we still have some green grass and fairly decent weather in NOVEMBER! Beverly is loving it too.

1:50 pm:

Working on my Sisters Creed Inventory and pricing.

2:50 pm:

Bryn's home from school!

3:50 pm:

The sun is starting to go down. We call it lamp-o-clock. We turn on lamps the minute the sun begins to go down. We need light! I love the glow from my candle lights. It's making things more cheery and less dreary. I'm still decorating for Christmas.

4:50 pm:

Tyler stopped at Huckleberry's on his way home from work and brought home a sweet treat for me and Bryn. We love the cake and desserts from there. They have the best layer cakes.

5:45 pm:

Out on a long walk with Tyler. We walk three miles almost every day. This is where we discuss the day and all that is going on in our lives. It's a great way to decompress and to deal with the above sweet treats! I'll say again how HAPPY I am that we don't have any snow!!

6:50 pm:

On a Walmart run to get a flocked pre-lit Christmas tree for the guest room.

7:50 pm:

We also went to Lowe's for more painting supplies.

8:50 pm:

Tyler putting together and lighting the little white tree in the kitchen. This is the reason that we had to go buy a pre-lit tree for the guest room. He HATES lighting Christmas trees and so does everyone that lives in my house BUT I like thickly and brightly lit trees. Here he is annoyed but doing what I request. He also hates this vintage tree that has yellowed to the perfect antique off white and sheds like crazy. But I love it and he loves me. He has passed this job off to all of our children over the years, who equally loathe lighting and putting up this tree, but now he is down to one child and she has a social life. Ha ha.

9:50 pm:

The Christmas decorating is getting done! Friday nights are usually our date nights but we had a bunch of projects that needed to get done this week.

10:50 pm:

We end as we began!

Not a thrilling Friday night to be sure but we did get a lot accomplished so there you have it. One day in November 2024... hour by hour!

#One Day HH 2023

Every year one of my favorite author/blogger/influencers, Laura Tremaine, challenges her followers to participate in a one-day hour-by-hour challenge. You document what you are doing every hour on this random day from when you wake up to when you go to bed. Prepare to be riveted. J/K.

November 8th, 2023 (Wednesday)

6:26 am: I truly woke up and got up. I woke up earlier when Tyler told me good-bye and I prayed with him before he left for work but then I fell back asleep so by this time I was already running slightly late. I like to be up at 6 am and out of bed by 6:15.

7:30 am: I picked Bryn up from early morning seminary at the stake center. Usually I pick up her friend Leah too but she wasn't there today. It was rainy and dreary outside.

8:30 AM: Bryn was at school and I was doing my morning journaling and scripture study.

9:30 AM: I started decorating the upstairs for Christmas.

10:30 AM: I started decorating the downstairs for Christmas. Sheesh I need to wash those windows!

11:30 AM: Brunch. I am not a breakfast person. I don't get hungry until around this time and then it is usually a breakfast/lunch combo.

12:30 PM: Taking a small and much needed break from decorating.

1:30 PM: Outside in the backyard with Miss Beverly.

2:38 PM: Marco-poling with my friend Jen.

3:32 PM: Writing a book review on Goodreads.

4:30 PM: Tyler and I on our daily three mile walk/download at the park.

5:45 PM: At the boat storage unit with Tyler to drop something off.

6:30 PM: Starting to make dinner. Egg rolls in a bowl. We ate late because Bryn had basketball practice.

7:36 PM: Dinner. Bryn missed her YW activity.

8:30 PM: Catching up on blogging. I am so behind.

9:30 PM: Tyler and I lying on our bed talking and showing each other funny stuff on our phones.

10:39 PM: My face is washed, teeth brushed, and I'm in bed. My goal is to always get to bed by 10 pm. Occasionally it happens.

Hope you could handle the excitement of a random day of my life in November! This really wasn't a typical day as I didn't go anywhere or work or do anything that was a bit more normal. But this was the day that I could get a jump start on my Christmas decorating. So boring!! LOL.
