Less than a week after getting home from our cruise/Texas trip we headed to Hayden Lake for our family's summer gathering. The timing was crazy but there just wasn't any other time to schedule it. We had to cram it in before the kids had to head back to BYU-Idaho. It was definitely worth it! We had the BEST time!!
We stayed at the same funky lake house that we stayed at last year. We love it! It feels so good here. I love the lake vibes! We took some pictures on the dock as per usual. Not everyone came prepared for photos though so no Christmas card pic this year. The pictures are still pretty cute and a good commemoration of the vacay.
It was EXTRA SPECIAL to have Karson with us this year!!
No one else was *in the mood* for pictures so this is all I got. Blame yourselves!
This one was surprisingly...
but only briefly...and then it ended...abruptly.
Cute Tyler!
Good thing that sweet baby brought Kam back for one more picture.
Look at that gorgeous view!
We took turns with the kids making dinner so most evenings Tyler and I were able to swim, enjoy the view from the dock, and do sunset cruises. Perfection.
It was also pretty perfect to wake up to this little guy! Some mornings Reilly would bring him into us and every morning we sat out on the deck looking at the gorgeous water and Karson would take a little morning nap.
The lazy mornings with Karson waiting for the sun to hit the dock were the best! Grandparenthood is AWESOME!!
This vacation was true relaxation. The days went by in a blur of boating, swimming, wakeboarding, jet skiing, dock picnics, game nights, and movie nights. I loved it! We also had a big family council to hash out any issues and to make sure that everyone was on the same page for the upcoming school year. Needed.
The days were wonderful start to finish...
The water was perfection!
Beverly liked cooling off on the swim platform.
Although keeping an eye on all of her *kids* was a big job. Once we stopped in the middle of the lake to cool off and Kam dove in. Beverly immediately leaped out of the boat into the lake to *save* her boy who she thought was drowning. It was the sweetest and saddest thing. She does not love the water but she didn't hesitate to jump in after Kameron. Good thing she had on her pink polka dot life jacket!
Karson loved to wear Pop's hat and *drive* the boat!
Hunter isn't a fan of the water so when we are at the lake he likes to stay inside and read, nap, or play video games so I don't have many pictures of him this trip, unfortunately. But he also liked to sit on the deck and drink his coffee in the morning so we had some good chats and he is hilarious playing games!
I loved our nightly sunset cruises before dinner and games. Those were some of my favorite times at the lake besides jet skiing which we all got into this year!!
We had a such great time! It went by much too quickly. Our last day on the water was the very best! We need a much longer time next year! This was the perfect way to end the summer and to get ready to launch everyone into the new school year!
