It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
"...With everyone telling you be of good cheer...It's the most wonderful time of the year...It's the hap-happiest season of all..."
(I'm singing and twirling with joy!!)
The dreary and dark Pacific Northwest just got a little less dark. Good-bye dark at 4pm. Good riddance!! How I love daylight savings time. Sweet sweet harbinger of summer!!
"It's the most wonderful time...la la la la...of the year!!"

Girl, you are crazy!! I h.a.t.e. daylight savings. It sends all my kids into some alternate time warp that they don't emerge from for a couple weeks. Why must they do this to us?! Especially us schedule dependent crazy people whose internal clocks do not adjust for daylight savings!! But I do agree, the staying-light-later part is pretty great :)
I'm with you. Love it love it love it. And I do remember those dark Inland NW days. Did not love it. On another note, I ordered a book off amazon that I thought was coming highly recommended by you, to help me deal with the ever-more challenging task of raising my almost 12-year-old. It is called "How to Hug a Porcupine" by Julie Ross. But I see here that your book is called "How to Hug a Teenage Porcupine" by somebody else. AAAARGH. Shouldn't that be illegal to have two books on the same subject with almost the same title? Well, I'll let you know how this book is, damnit!
Tiffany-
That same thing happened to me and totally pissed me off!! I had been listening to "How to Hug a Teenage Porcupine" on my Ipod and wanted the book to highlight and refer to as well. I got online at amazon and did the exact same thing!! I was not pleased when the book by Julie Ross arrived. I think it is really shifty to name your book nearly the same thing as another book and use similar artwork to try and capitalize on another person's success. Apparently John Lund's version is only available as an audiobook. Suckeroo. I wanted to hold it in my hot little hand. As for Ms. Ross (whose book came out MUCH LATER than Dr. Lund's) I need to send it back. I'M SO ANNOYED!!
