January: Things I am Loving

January: Things I Am Loving

Despite my weird month there were several things that made January better:

1.) Home Fires

Anybody watching this? It is great! It's about a rural English town on the verge of WWII as the women of the community put aside their differences and join forces amidst the chaos and uncertainty of wartime. I loved it and can't wait for Season two.

And...if you still haven't watched this:

I seriously don't know what you are waiting for!! Season 2 starts this summer. Get watching!!

2.) Green Smoothies

I finally GET what all the hubbub has been about! I'm on board!! Finally. I have had green smoothies here and there over the years and I thought they were okay. But it took me creating a concoction that I absolutely love to crave them and believe me I do. Tyler has his version which is also delicious but looks like liquid guacamole. I have to close my eyes or put it an opaque cup with a lid to enjoy but mine is bright green, tart, and tastes like joy! I drink a 32 oz one daily chock full of power greens!!

3.) Tulips

I mentioned these in my last post but they are worth mentioning again. They really are the cheeriest of flowers. Go buy some.

4.) Kameron's Low Voice

Somewhere...somehow...perhaps overnight. Kameron has acquired a very low and deep voice. I barely got to enjoy any awkward voice cracking Peter Brady moments. I feel cheated. He went straight from a little boy's to a manly man's. Sometimes I'll hear him talking downstairs and it sounds like a strange man is in the house or he answers his phone and it takes me a minute to realize that I didn't dial the wrong number. Reilly called me one afternoon and I was talking with my phone on speaker and  Kameron came in for a minute and Reilly demanded to know who I was talking too!! Ha ha!! It's weird. But not as weird as some of those poor souls whose voice never fully changes and hovers in that awkward middle. Kam has a nice deep man voice. He is also looking me right in the eyes these days. I think I am still taller than him by maybe half an inch. Man Boys...weird and yet wonderful.

5.) Podcasts

Anyone listening to podcasts? It's my new thang. I am loving it. I listen to all kinds of different ones. My favorites are podcasts that are devoted to books that I am super nerdy and fangirlie about. I am also currently listening to several that are really inspiring. I am loving the Jamie Ivey podcast. She is a Christian mother from the South and she interviews really interesting women who are doing all kinds of inspiring things. There are also some great parenting podcasts and finance podcasts that I like as well. It's fun to listen while I do projects, drive, workout, and do things around the house. Anyone have a podcast that they love?

Now...onto FEBRUARY!!
