Day 20: #TBT to a Younger Version
In this picture I am seven years old. I am on vacation and actually in Spokane at Riverfront Park which is a place that our kids have grown up going to. I love seeing pictures of myself in some of the favorite places of my own children.
I have so much love and compassion for this little girl. She is smiling but she is going through so many hard things that no one knows about. She is living through trauma but she is still finding moments of joy. Her smile is genuine. Finding joy is a gift that has served her well throughout her life and perhaps saved her life.
