June: Day 10

 Day 10: My Mantra Is...

This includes time, energy, effort, and attention. I heard this quote on the Alison Show Podcast and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It resonated. I put it into effect a year prior to my mother's death and now it is even more necessary in my life. It has become one of my guiding rules and principles.

Time, energy, attention, and effort are precious commodities. I no longer waste them on those who are toxic, negative, and drain me. I prefer to invest in people who fill me with light, love, positivity, kindness, friendship, and inspiration. This phrase has been key in setting boundaries. Obviously I serve and help those who do not invest in me but as far as relationships go... this is definitely my mantra and it has served me well.
